WOW! I Can’t Believe This Guy Spent 5 Years Making This. I’m Blown Away!

In 2008, a high school junior named Luca Iaconi-Stewart decided to make a 1:60 scale reproduction of a Boeing 777. He spent about 5 years of his life building this. The crazy part is he only used manila folders.

The very first thing he did was trace this round box of cocoa on a piece of paper.

Next he glued together the cross sections of the airplane.

The skeleton of the plane was ready.

Then he added the skin to the outside of the airplane.

As you can see there was a lot of glue used in this project.

The body of the plane is taking shape.

The total time he spent on this project was around 5 years.

He was inspired by models that he saw in school.

He had to cut and glue tiny pieces of paper over and over again.

The back end of the plane.

Slowly getting the job done.

This takes some serious dedication.

He made every single piece of the airplane to scale.

Pretty awesome so far.

It took him about 20 minutes to finish each seat.

The detail is crazy!

There are a lot of seats on this plane.

The engine, doors, and seats were perfect replicas of the real model.
